'Daily Predictions' explores how language can be interpreted by the reader, and how textiles can be used directly in a book format. The project began as a daily writing ritual, where over the course of a year, I wrote a daily sentence based on predictions from an astrology app. The archive from this ritual forms the basis for a soft book, where the pages are made of fabric. Each page contains a short, open and active sentence embroidered using digital machine embroidery. The books feature different combinations of these, making each edition unique. The fabric is sourced from old bed linen, softened by years of use, which gives the book a distinctive tactile quality. It is bound with cotton thread using Japanese Binding.

The book functions both as an art object and as an alternative self-help book that offers comfort through touch and reflection. It was developed in collaboration with TEXST, an independent publisher which worked with text in all formats within visual art. The book is self-published in a limited edition of 13 copies, in various designs and material combinations.
